The snow that never ends...

The snow started Thursday (Feb 4th) and didn't bother letting up until late Saturday. It was Saturday around 10am that we lost our electricity, for the 4th time in 6 weeks. With each outage I think we have learned a little more about self preparedness. This time around we actually made it the entire 36 hours without having to leave the house. This could have been in part to NOT being able to leave the house as well. This time around we also had some house guests. Bryan, Amber, Cohen and Colbey (living across the street) had no heat, so they had to join us until the electric came back on. It made for a loud 36 hours...(2) 2 yr old's and (2) 7 month old's.

Lately Carson's toy preference has been his toolbox and hardhat. He will be sawing his train table apart, or hammer it back together, and I'll ask him to stop (and do it to something that isn't so destructible) and his response will be "workin mom, workin". So while Cohen was over there were plenty of fights over these items. Thankfully we had two toolbox's and two hats (just happened that one was a straw hat and it ended up being the one that was worn during the pictures).

The Jetta

Carson is obsessed with carrying around his "big bear" and "doggie" and blanket. In the morning he will walk into our bedroom carrying all these items. This particular morning I walk to the top of the steps, because Carson was making sounds of severe frustration, to find he is trying to pull a king size blanket around the corner and up the steps. This blanket was a super soft one that his granny had given him for Christmas (she knew how much he loves the super soft material). As you can tell he was very agitated that he wasn't strong enough to pull it up all by himself.
