Asheboro Zoo - July 13, 2009

Chris and I thought Carson would enjoy a trip to the zoo, so we rang cousin Talia and made plans to meet at the Asheboro, NC zoo on Monday, July 13. As suspected Carson really enjoyed seeing all the animals. We were there first and saw the alligators, snakes and turtles...then Talia showed and he had to run go take her to point out all these things he had seen. It is amazing how quickly he is growing and turning into a toddler verses a baby.

(Carson being the wonderer that he is)

(Carson as the pilot - hang on because this could make for a turbulous ride)

(Hiding in the cave)

(Talia riding the bull)

(Carson's ride on the bull. He was a bit scared of sliding off.)

(Chris only wished they would allow him to hunt in the zoo)

(at the playground on zoo grounds)
(Carson refused to slide down without Aunt Sarah reaching her hand up to him, he wouldn't even touch her, just needed the reasurance that she was there and would catch him)

(Carson and his "cheezzzze")

So who knew that lunch came with a zoo pass these days. Sarah found these blueberry bushes along our path and so we stopped and ate GREAT blueberries for a little bit. The kids loved them, and if we had containers we probably could have picked enough to take home.

(Us enjoying picking)

(Yes! Sarah went BEHIND the fence in order to get more/better berries; however, we all reaped the benefit)

After the zoo we dropped by the mall in Winston-Salem for a brief time, and to get some dinner. I think the cutiest part of the whole trip was that on the way home Carson would reach over and hold Cooper's hand. It was adorable. Yes - Cooper was with us despite the number of pictures you see him in. He just slept in the stroller most of the time...what a great baby.
