July 4th, 2009

For the 4th of July we decided to go up to Pond Mountain and join the Dalia Gang. Chris really wanted to ride 4-wheelers, and then watch the fireworks from the top of the mountain...having the ability to see several different cities at the same time. We had also purchased some of our own fireworks which we lit afterwards. Carson enjoyed seeing the fireworks go off but would then put his head on my shoulder like he was a little scared. He was also pretty tired since they didn't start until 9pm, and he is typically in bed by 8. Cooper slept in the truck the entire time so he'll have to see his first fireworks next year. Everyone except Mom, Dad, Gabby, Cooper and Flossie rode 4-wheelers to the top. This group took the easy way and enjoyed a truck ride.

FYI - I did my best to find a "4th of July" outfit for the boys from the selection of clothing they already had.

Karleigh brought her 4-wheeler (5th b-day present) and Carson got on and refused to get off. He definitely thought he was big enough to ride it (alone), and Joey was even going to let him until I vetoed that one.

Cohen and Carson...they love playing with each other. By the way...this is the look Carson now gives when you tell him to smile (for the camera), nice huh!
