Caden turns 2!

I can't believe my baby boy is 2 years old already.  It truly seems like yesterday that he was born and we went through all the medical issues with him.  Now, 2 years later, this little man is as vivacious and independent as any one I know.  He doesn't let his petite stature get in the way of anything he wants to do (except maybe crawling out of his crib since his leg still just isn't long enough, THANKFULLY).  He will head butt and tackle his brothers without thinking twice - mainly Cooper.  He talks up a storm and is very intelligent.  He wants to do anything that his two older brothers are doing, and is a little parrot to anything we say or do.  I couldn't imagine life without this little guy because he brings so much laughter and fun to our family.

To honor Caden's birthday we started off by going over to Granny Carolyn's to celebrate with the Green clan.  We were able to go over early enough to attend church with them beforehand which was nice.  It ended up being a combined birthday celebration because Papaw Tommy and Uncle James both had birthdays nearby so we couldn't leave them out.

Then the morning of his birthday he got his favorite breakfast...pancakes.  Carson and Cooper thought the #2 pancakes were the coolest and ended up insisting they get designed pancakes as well.

Later that day we continued to celebrate by inviting the local Dalia clan over for a Birthday Dinner.

Caden's absolute most favorite thing is to go on rides with his dad in the Teryx.  Therefore, he is constantly insisting on carrying the Teryx keys around with him in order to prevent Chris from ever leaving him behind.  When he finally gets to go for a ride then second the Teryx comes to a stop he jumps down and grabs the keys from the ignition.  He always has the Teryx keys.  So, when I told Carson and Cooper they could each pick out something small to give Caden for his birthday, Carson was very thoughtful and went to find a set of keys that Caden could call his own (hoping to replace the Teryx keys).  While he really liked the gift, it didn't make up for always wanting those Teryx keys in hand.

Colbey was beyond excited to give Caden the book that he had taken from his dad's car.

Aunt Scotia called to wish Caden a happy birthday.
Caden's other favorite thing is our pit bull, Roxy.  He loves that dog.  We are constantly finding him sitting on the porch laying on her, while she is sleeping.  He also really enjoys letting her come inside.  I have heard him talking before and walk downstairs to find that he has opened the door to let her come inside and the two of them will be sitting on the rug chillin' together (with him talking to her).  He doesn't quite understand why we don't just let her live inside with us - he is fine with it, why aren't we? Chris says we should get him a dog that's more his size, but I'm not convinced...watching him and Roxy is way too cute!

Cooper decided to join the picture
